About Us
Little Scholars Learning House is a learning institution that aims to deliver the highest standard of education in the Kalamazoo area by meeting the academic, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age.

Our main objectives are to provide a daycare that's carefully planned and has a stimulating environment which helps children develop within themselves the foundational skills and ideas that are essential for a lifetime of creative learning. When children are engaged in well structured tasks, they get to experience an overall positive attitude towards the joy of learning. In the classroom, children are exposed to a wide range of activities, which include math, science, language, arts, socialization, and a general learning based on a Montessori-inspired and theme-based curriculum. Our Mission
Our Mission at Little Scholars Learning House is to nurture your child's development in its most important years. Our daycare provides a stimulating and secure environment that promotes the development of each individual child physically, emotionally, socially, and academically. We want children to develop and foster curiosity to lead them into a lifelong love of learning. We promote a commitment to giving back to the Kalamazoo community through service to others. We strive to enhance each child’s gifts to lead them into responsible, compassionate and successful citizens.
Our Programs
Infant
A loving, nurturing, and a peaceful daycare environment that develops basic trust, in which caregivers respond appropriately to the infant’s communication of his/her needs. Constant observation is made, followed by appropriate responses to assist in the development of his/her emerging personality. At our daycare you will find infants respected as a whole person. Assistance is provided to individual learning, which will lead to independence when infants participate in their daily routine of care.
Toddler/Young Preschool
Our childcare provides social, physical, and intellectual opportunities for the young and older toddlers to challenge themselves. These two classrooms provide simple daily exercises that are designed to meet their needs for growing into independent children. Constant observations are made, followed by appropriate responses to meet his/her needs for their self-development. As independence is shown, more challenging exercises will be introduced to help support their success. Through this the child will build more confidence, develop problem solving skills, and social skills.
Preschool
The warm, inviting preschool environment allows children to work alone or in small groups to build concentration and social skills. Appropriate lessons will be given individually or in small groups in the areas of math and language, depending on each individual child's developmental needs. Core science, geography, social studies, art, and music are also integrated into the theme based curriculum.
